If you know me, you know that the number one skin care item that I will swear by to my grave (and will NEVER skip) is SUNSCREEN. It is a guaranteed step to prevent signs of aging, reduce inflammation, decrease your chances of skin cancer and SO much more! Now, I know what you might be thinking, “there’s SPF in my powder or foundation, so I am covered.”
Unfortunately, these items “with” SPF aren’t nearly as effective as a typical facial sunscreen. Trust me when I say you won’t want to be using the amount of foundation you would need for proper sun protection. Due to this, I am going to share with you 3 of my absolute favorite sunscreens for underneath makeup, so you all can keep your skin healthy and protected!
The Best Sunscreens For Underneath Makeup
Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Primer:
This primer is SPF 50 and has an absolutely gorgeous finish. I love how it plumps the skin and has this clean, even finish that looks perfect for non-makeup days! Bonus points because it feels super light and is fragrance-free.
Summer Fridays Shade Drops
For my mineral sunscreen lovers, you are going to be OBSESSED with this one! It is filled with antioxidants and squalane. Squalane is an amazing ingredient that will boost hydration of the skin to help it appear more vibrant and healthier. Overall, this mineral sunscreen will leave your skin protected and looking flawless.
Superfood Unseen Sunscreen
Chances are you’ve heard about this sunscreen all over social media, but let me tell you, THE HYPE IS REAL! The formula is clear and it truly grips like a primer. It’s incredibly lightweight and is suitable for all skin types and complexions. Trust me, when you wear it, you’ll receive a dozen comments like “Wow, you are so glowy!” or “OMG, your makeup looks stunning!”
I truly believe that if you find a sunscreen you love, you are far more likely to apply (and reapply) it everyday! I can’t wait for you to try these out and to hear what you think.
